Bought my AM Neon 80 last winter.
After unboxing, I discovered that the lights worked just fine, but none of my computers was recognizing the keyboard, thus none of the keystrokes were registering.
I worked with email support but didn't get much movement there. I eventually reached out to AM support on Discord and worked with Giraffe there, who took care of my issue and sent me a new PCB. Keyboard worked as soon as the ribbon cables followed by USB cable were plugged in.
I really appreciated that they sent me a new PCB despite current shipping costs. I am over the moon that this issue is fixed after 8 months--but most of that time was because I was unable to respond due to moving onboarding for my new job. I'm super happy with how they handled this case, and will be plugging them for my work's keyboard slack channel.
Support aside, I love the keeb! It feels super clean and I love the way it responds. Sounded and felt good right out of the box. It lowkey looks ridiculous, but I love that about it.
I know AM gets a bad wrap online, but honestly this is a great keyboard. Everything functions well. It sounds great and looks unique.
It's certainly is an expensive keyboard, but it does everything it promises to do flawlessly. I've purchased many custom keyboards and usually the only thing that sets them apart aestheticically is a fancy weight, but you never see the weight so it's pretty pointless. I've even purchased keyboards from other brands at a similar pricepoint and they are so buggy, like the Freya, which was suck a disappointment.
Happy with my purchase and it's a stunning keyboard. Wish the shipping was a little lower or free as that does add to the overall cost, but if you have the means to buy this keyboard you likely won't be disappointed.
